Colts vs. Saints
This is a tough choice for me.
1. Peyton Manning – we were originally thinking of Peyton for Hayden’s name, but Alicia thought it was a girls name. i used to hate Peyton Manning, he knocked my Chiefs out of the playoffs too many times. But then his commercials came out, and he was funny, really funny. I found myself liking Peyton Manning, I bought a Sony TV, and Hayden even has an autographed mini helmet from his first Superbowl win. He did throw the helmet down the stairs today, maybe that’s a sign.

2. Drew Brees – a former Charger, yeah I should hate him. But he got out. Actually the first event i ever snuck into was the Del Mar fair opening day races and met guess who, Drew Brees. So I kinda like him as well.

So I came to the conclusion that I don’t care who wins, nevermind, Brees was a former Charger, not gonna let that go, GO COLTS!

This weeks Rock Photo Class challenge was the following: your challenge this week is to use your camera to take ABSTRACT pictures. however you define ABSTRACT and choose to express yourself in your images.
Hayden and I found the above in the backyard, then took a trip downtown for the shot below, barely escaping the rain.
Anyways, come join us this Wednesday at the Rock Church to see just how mad we all are . . .

Ok, so aside from listening to Taylor Swift and not thinking Jessica Alba is ugly I have another interest that seperates me from the majority, I love watching millionaires spend millions of dollars for bragging rights over a 3 race series. The first race starts Monday, February 8th and you can root on my favorite team, the Swiss Alinghi against the US BMW Oracle. I have great memories as a child when my parents would take me to the America’s Cup harbor here in San Diego when we were the defenders. So my Swiss team are the defending champions meaning they get to make the rules, such as knowing that their boat is faster in slower winds so they made a rule that the race will be cancelled in high winds. LOVE IT!
Check out the races as well as this amazing photographer, Carlos Borlenghi http://www.carloborlenghi.com/

I had the opportunity to shoot the Avatar panel at comic-con this year and was blown away at the technology of this film. I’m so glad this filmed delivered as the future of big budget films depended on it. Anyways here’s a quick shot of James Cameron and Peter Jackson (the lovely Bones is the next film on my list).

Media All Stars held their annual ChristMAS party last night so Hayden got to meet Santa! Our good friend Tommy Moseley wore the suit and every single kid cried. Hayden held out the longest!

Alicia and I waited as long as possible to cut hayden’s hair hoping that it would keep him our baby that much longer, but it got out of control. So exactly 13 months and 3 days after being born we took him to Bambinos in Otay Ranch for his first haircut. We waited about 30 minutes hearing kids scream their heads off giving me a lot of excitement for the memories to come. When it was Hayden’s turn he just sat on mommy’s lap and didn’t make an event out of the whole deal. Alicia didn’t cry and now Hayden looks a little more grown up

Ciara and Robert had a beautiful wedding on April 5, 2009 that I was lucky enough to capture and preserve the memories of. It was a sunny day down in Bonita, finally a wedding in my neck of the woods! The day involved us taking over a park, thank you kids, to capture the bride’s entourage. Anyways here are some of the favorites, to view more visit shootingbrides.com

It was a beautiful day out in Balboa, Eli lost his happys for a while but they started to come back to him as the shoot went on. Here’s a few shots . . .

It was a beautiful morning at the Roxy Jam Cardiff, warm 78 degrees with clouds in the sky. The conditions are glassy and peaky with 3 – 4 ft. waves and the first two rounds of the contest are off to a great start. The water is super warm. Roxy girls Torri, Jamie, and Roxy’s newest team rider from Hawaii, Rachel Spear had an early morning interview in the water with Fox 5. You can watch the interviews on Fox 5 all day today. Competitors and spectators kicked off the morning with a delicious pancake breakfast, courtesy of the Encinitas Fire Department. The waves are starting to cooperate and there are a lot of spectators on the beach watching the ladies compete. Surfers have come from all over, including Hawaii, Australia, the Netherlands and Japan, a great international representation!
